Reckitt Nigeria (Reckitt Benckiser Nigeria Limited) has appointed Mrs Toyin Ojora Saraki and Prince Abimbola Olashore as Independent Non-Executive Directors. This move strengthens the company’s Board as it pushes ahead with its plans across Nigeria.
These appointments come after the passing of Chief Michael Olumuyiwa Falomo, the company’s former Board Chairman. His leadership played a big part in the growth and governance of Reckitt Nigeria over many years. The company recognizes his lasting legacy and service.
Mrs Toyin Ojora Saraki is the Founder-President of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa. She is known worldwide for her work in women’s and children’s health. With over twenty years of experience, she has focused on maternal, newborn, and child health, gender equity, and community wellbeing. She is the first Global Health Ambassador for the WHO Foundation and holds advisory roles in many global organizations like the World Health Organisation, World Economic Forum, AstraZeneca Global Breast Cancer Care Council, and Bayer Sustainability Council. Her public health and development experience will add valuable insight to the Board as Reckitt works to protect, heal, and nurture communities.
Prince Abimbola Olashore is a Chartered Accountant and a leader in financial services with over thirty years of experience. His background covers banking, investment management, and corporate advisory. He is the Founder and CEO of Lead Capital Plc. He has also held significant positions like Executive Director at Ecobank Transnational Group and CEO of Lead Advisory Group, where he drove growth and transformation.
He is the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce. He is also the Deputy President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a Council Member, as well as Chairman of the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee of the Chartered Institute of Directors. Prince Abimbola Olashore has strong expertise in financial strategy and corporate governance, making him well-equipped to help the company with its strategic goals and long-term growth plans.
