The Niger State Police Command said its newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has resumed duty.

Elleman is the state’s 38th Commissioner of Police.

A statement by command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed that CP Elleman has taken over from AIG Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, who was recently promoted and redeployed.

The command assured the public that Elleman is committed to strengthening security, maintaining law and order, and reducing crime in line with the year’s Action Plan. It therefore urged public cooperation to achieve these goals.

With 31 years of service, Elleman brings extensive experience to the role. A native of Kaugama, Jigawa State, he holds law degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and the Nigerian Law School. His career includes various legal, investigative, and leadership roles, along with specialised training in Nigeria, the UK, the US, and South Africa.
