The Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, has made a heartfelt appeal for peace and harmony among farmers and herders in Gombe State.

Arewa PUNCH reports that Abubakar made this call during a mini Sallah durbar, also known as Jafi.

He urged the two groups to co-exist peacefully, emphasising the importance of preventing conflicts and promoting development in the region.

“As we strive for peace and prosperity in our dear state, I implore farmers and herders to live in harmony with one another,” the emir urged.

He stressed, “We must work together to prevent conflicts and ensure our communities continue to thrive,” he further remarked.

The Emir of Gombe reiterated the emirate’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to sustain peace, security, and development across the state.

“We stand firmly behind our government’s initiatives to promote peace and stability, and we will continue to work closely with them to achieve our shared goals,” he added.
