Former Chelsea playmaker, Joe Cole, has advised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.

Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.

The 26-year-old was linked with the Gunners last year, but his €130m release clause proved to be a stumbling block.


Since moving to Turkey, Osimhen has shone for Okan Buruk’s team, scoring 29 goals and provided five assists in 33 games.

But the Super Eagles striker is expected to be on the move again at the end of this season.

Cole, who won three Premier League titles, believes the Nigerian striker will fit right at Arsenal.

“Osimhen, I know he’s had this little strange one where he’s gone to Turkey, and he’s banging in goals, but he looks perfect for Arsenal for me.

“Isak, yeah, but why would he go to Arsenal now? If Newcastle could spend more, I can’t see Isak being an option. Osimhen is the one for me for Arsenal,” Cole said on the Dressing Room Podcast via Standard UK.
