The Kano State Police Command has put adequate security measures in place to ensure peaceful celebrations during the Easter period.

The assurance was contained in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, on Thursday.

“The command wishes to assure everyone of adequate security measures for peaceful and hitch-free celebrations.

“To guarantee peaceful coexistence during the Easter period, the Commissioner of Police has directed all Head of Departments (HODs), Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Operational Commanders to intensify security efforts.

“These include deploying police personnel to strategic locations, across the state to maintain law and order, intensive visibility patrols, stop-and-search operations etc., in line with the command’s Operation Order for the season,” Haruna stated.

According to the statement, the command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration.

“These measures underscore the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property,” the statement said.

The command, however, urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or incidents to the nearest police station.

“The Kano State Police Command remains dedicated to maintaining law and order, protecting lives and property, and fostering a safe environment for all residents,” the statement added.
