The Ogun State Government through its Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday, sealed four industries over environmental infractions.

The industries are, Fortune Height Farms Limited and Sanda Wood Industry Limited, both in Odogbolu local government area of the state, Shengceramic Material Limited in the Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and Nehemiah Grace Developer Limited, along Ijako, Ado-Odo/Ota local government area.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency, OGEPA, Farouk Akintunde, disclosed that, Fortune Height Farms Limited, was into the production of eggs and catfish.


Akintunde explained that it was sealed following a petition received from its immediate community for discharging waste into the environment.

The Special Adviser, who doubles as the Chairman, Ogun State Task Force on Environmental Compliance and Enforcement, added that Sanda Wood Industry Limited was sealed for denying government officials access into its facility.

He added that it was also engaging in open burning, while Nehemiah Grace Developer Limited was sealed for encroaching on the waterways and constructing drainage without permit.

Akintunde while reiterating the Abiodun-led administration’s commitment to a cleaner and healthy environment, warned industries against the violation of environmental laws.

“Ogun State government will not fold its hand and allow these industries to violate our Environmental laws,” he said.
