The US President President Donald Trump has said it was “too early” to endorse Vice President JD Vance as his Republican successor for 2028 election.


The US president made his position known on Sunday during an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.

When asked if he views Vance as his “successor” and the Republican nominee in 2028, Trump expressly said, “No, but he’s very capable”.


“I think you have a lot of very capable people,” the US President told Baier in a segment of his Super Bowl interview that was previewed Monday afternoon and is set to air tonight.

“So far, I think he’s doing a fantastic job. It’s too early, we’re just starting,” Trump added.
