A group of armed bandits attacked Gora community in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday night, killing a young man and abducting his grandfather.

The victim, identified as Bashir Auwalu, was reportedly shot dead during the attack, while his elderly grandfather was taken away by the attackers.

The incident was revealed by a security analyst, Bakatsine, in a post on Wednesday on X.

“Yesterday night, bandits stormed Gora in Safana LGA, Katsina State. They killed a youthful person identified as Bashir Auwalu and kidnapped his grandfather,” the post read.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
