The Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has charged Kwara United players to remain focused and determined ahead of their President Federation Cup final match against Abakaliki FC.

Sulu-Gambari gave the charge during the team’s courtesy visit to his Palace in Ilorin.

He assured the club of his full support in their quest for glory.


“I was once an official of Shooting Stars and the Nigeria Football Federation. I know what is at stake in a crucial match like this,” Sulu-Gambari told the players.

“Prepare well, remain focused, and stay united. We will continue to pray for your success.”

Kwara United will battle with Abakaliki FC at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan in Lagos on Saturday, 29 June , 2025.

Both teams will be making their first appearance in the final of the competition

The winner will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
