Coach Gbenga Ogunbote will remain in charge of Shooting Stars next season after rejecting a move to Kano Pillars.

Ogunbote has one-year remaining on his contract with Shooting Stars, and has decided to honour it.

The Ibadan club finished in eighth position last season.


Kano Pillars are looking for a new coach after partying ways with Usman Abdallah.

Abdallah left the Sai Masu Gida last month, citing personal reasons for his decision.

The four-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions also have Mohammed Babaganaru and Salisu Yusuf on their shortlist of coaches to replace Abdallah.
