Armed bandits stormed Shadawa community in Tafoki district, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, on Thursday night, abducting several residents and setting a trailer ablaze.

Security analyst, Bakatsine confirmed the attack in a series of posts on his official X handle.

He revealed that the assailants fired sporadically while wreaking havoc in the community.

“Bandits are currently in Shadawa community, Tafoki district, Faskari LGA of Katsina State, shooting sporadically. Security intervention is needed in that community,” he posted.

He followed up with an update, stating that, “They succeeded in abducting several people in the community and set a trailer ablaze.”

The number of abducted persons remains unknown at the time of this report, and authorities are yet to issue an official statement.
