Russia’s air defence units says it intercepted and destroyed 90 Ukrainian drones overnight.

The Russian defence ministry made this disclosure on Monday.

The defense ministry said no fewer than 38 of the drones were downed over the Sea of Azov.


The ministry in a post on the Telegram messaging app said at least 38 of the drones were downed over the Sea of Azov.

It added 24 were downed over the southern Russia region of Krasnodar, and the rest over several other regions in the south and west of the country, as well as over the Crimean Peninsula.

According to the ministry, its defence units also destroyed a guided missile over the Sea of Azov.
