One person has been reportedly killed as rival cult groups clashed in Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the deceased was shot dead on Sunday, February 16, at Leo Igor Street in Ozoro.

However, at the time of filing this report, it is clear if the victim was a member of any cult group.

It was learnt that there has been a battle for supremacy between rival cult groups – Eiye and Vikings confraternities – within the university.

The latest incident has brought the number of cult killings which had taken place within the last weekend to three.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a text message sent to our correspondent in Warri on Monday.

His message just read, “Confirmed”.
