Getafe forward, Christantus Uche, has been nominated for LaLiga U-23 Player of the Month for February.

Uche, 21, will battle Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, Javi Guerra of Valencia Real Betis’ Jesus Rodriguez and Celta Vigo’s Javi Rodriguez for the individual accolade.

The striker has scored once in four outings for Jose Bordalás’ side this month.The Nigerian’s only goal came in Getafe’s 2-1 win at Girona last weekend.

Uche has so far registered three goals in 24 league appearances for Getafe this season.

He is suspended for Getafe’s next league clash against Real Betis on Sunday due to the accumulation of yellow cards.

The powerful forward has been cautioned five times this season, which triggered an automatic one-match ban.
