Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Prime Boy and the best friend of the late singer Mohbad, has filed a lawsuit against Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo, over alleged defamation.

The legal document, which was filed at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja, was shared by Prime Boy on his Instagram page on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

According to the lawsuit, Prime Boy is suing Abosede for alleged libelous and malicious statements she made in a video interview on March 28, 2024. The statements, which were reportedly published in several media outlets, were allegedly designed to tarnish his reputation in the eyes of the public.

The court document, dated February 12, 2025, states that Mohbad’s mother is being held liable for “N50 million in damages for libelous, injurious, false, and malicious statements made on March 28, 2024, which defamed the claimant in the eyes of right-thinking members of society.”
