Three people were shot dead on Friday outside a motor vehicle office on the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky, United States.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, officers were notified of the shooting at the Driver’s Licence Branch in the 6200 block of Willismore at around noon.

Police reported that one male victim was found dead in the parking lot upon their arrival at the scene.

Louisville Metro Police Department Major, Donald Boeckman, told reporters that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Boeckman stated that the suspects fled in a vehicle but did not provide a description of the vehicle.

He added that investigators are still reviewing surveillance footage.

“It’s absolutely a tragedy, and I’m surprised there weren’t more people injured,” Boeckman said.
