LAGOS – Sen. Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State has approved the appointment of a 13-member committee to review and assess the impact of Carnival Calabar and the Annual Festival after two decades of hosting.

A statement by Nsa Gill, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, mentioned High Chief Edem Duke as Chairman, while Amb. Ikechi Uko was selected as a member of the committee.

The statement hinted that the committee would conduct a comprehensive evaluation to refine and improve the event’s concept, ensuring its continued relevance and sustainability..
