United States President Donald Trump, on Friday, commended his Ukrainian counterpart, President Volodymyr Zelensky, and his soldiers for their unbelievable bravery in the war against Russia.

DAILY POST reports that Zelensky met with Trump at the White House on Friday.

The meeting focused on whether the Ukrainian President could persuade Trump to provide some form of US support for Ukraine’s security against potential future Russian aggression.


Speaking at the meeting, Trump expressed optimism that the war would soon end.

According to him, Ukrainian “soldiers have been unbelievably brave.”

He said: “We give them the credit. I give tremendous credit to your generals, your soldiers, and yourself. It’s been very hard fighting, very tough fighting. You’re great fighters.”

“This was supposed to be over very quickly, and here we are three years later.”
