Kano State Government has inaugurated a six-member committee to implement recommendations from the committee of inquiry regarding the breach of peace during the #EndBadGovernance protests.

Governor Abba Yusuf, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ibrahim, inaugurated the committee on Tuesday.

He emphasized the need to prevent a recurrence of the crisis, which resulted in loss of lives and property worth billions of naira damaged.

The committee, chaired by Alhaji Dan Yahaya, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Security and Special Services, is tasked with thoroughly reviewing the report and making further recommendations.

Other members include Alhaji Aliyu Garo, Dr. Hadi Bala, Salisu Marmara, Malam Yahaya Umar, and Jamilu Usman.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring stability, rebuilding the economy, and alleviating the crisis’s impact.

He expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to deliver a timely and effective response.

Speaking on behalf of the committee, Yahaya expressed gratitude for the opportunity and assured the government of their dedication to fulfilling their mandate.
