Lazio manager, Marco Baroni, has declared that Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is still not fully fit, DAILY POST reports.

Dele-Bashiru sustained an ankle injury in Lazio’s 0-0 draw against Venezia last month.

The injury forced the Nigeria international to miss three games across all competitions for the Serie A club.


The Nigeria international returned to the bench in La Biancolesti’s 1-1 home draw against Udinese on Monday.

Lazio will host Czech side, Viktoria Plzen in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday (today).

Baroni stated that Dele-Bashiru is yet to attain full fitness but could feature in the game.

“Dele still has a bit of discomfort, I have to talk to him too because I want him to be calm when he gets on the pitch. He still has some pain in his ankle.”
