Poland’s foreign minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, on Monday claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin could finish the ongoing war between his country and Ukraine in five minutes.

According to Sikorski, Putin has no business keeping his soldiers in Ukraine and could withdraw them to end the war.

He also hoped that United States President Donald Trump turns out to be “dealmaker’ to restore peace between both neighbouring countries.


“I hope that President Trump turns out to be the dealmaker that many people think he is and gets a good deal for Ukraine,” Sikorski told reporters in Brussels, where EU foreign ministers met. “We wish him luck.”

He added: “This is an unjust, aggressive war. President Putin has no business keeping his soldiers in Ukraine.

“He could finish this war in five minutes by just withdrawing them.”

This is coming ahead of Trump’s expected meeting with Putin on Tuesday.

Russia and Ukraine have been fighting for over three years and alot of casualties have been recorded on both sides as of today.
