The Yakubu Pam led faction of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has lauded the appointment of Bishop Matthew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the newly established Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna state.

Pam in a statement, described Kukah’s appointment as well deserved.

“Kukah has consistently championed the cause of justice, equity, and the advancement of human dignity, always working tirelessly to build bridges of understanding and peace.”

“Kukah’s appointment as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council will greatly enhance the growth and development of the university and make it a centre of academic excellence.”

“This recognition is a testament to Kukah’s immense contributions to the development of our society, his unwavering commitment to education, and exemplary leadership in both religious and civic spheres.”

Pam also commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing a credible and patriotic Nigerian like Kukah to this position.”
