In a bid to strengthen security measures and protect the lives and property of Gombe State residents, the Commissioner of Police, Yahaya Bello, alongside other top officials have embarked on an on-the-spot assessment visit to the state’s border with Taraba.

Arewa PUNCH reports that the visit aimed at familiarising the team with the terrain, identifying potential flashpoints, and assessing security deployment around border towns and routes.

The team travelled from Billiri LGA to Shongom LGA, covering areas such as Billiri, Lalapido, Tanglang, Tal, Todi, and Filiya Road to Dwaja Village.
According to the CP, “This visit is part of our commitment to proactive policing, ensuring the safety and security of our people.

“We are determined to protect the lives and property of Gombe State residents, and this assessment will help us identify areas for improvement.”

He further disclosed that the visit demonstrated the command’s dedication to safeguarding the state and its citizens, adding, “We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that Gombe State remains a safe and secure place for everyone.
