Adamawa APC candidate celebrates 21 local chairmen joining the party
The APC in Adamawa gains strength as 21 local chairmen and 226 councillors join from PDP. Galadima sees this as a boost for upcoming elections.

The governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State, Ahmed Galadima, has welcomed 21 local government chairmen and 226 councillors who have switched from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC.
Galadima sees this as a big boost for the party's grassroots support as the 2027 general elections approach.
In a statement released on Thursday by his media aide, Adamu Sambo, Galadima said the defectors showed they understand the changing political landscape in the state.
He congratulated the council chairmen, saying their choice shows political wisdom and a commitment to the state's growth.
"Their choice reflects political foresight and an understanding that the future of our state is best served by unity, purposeful leadership and a shared commitment to development," Galadima said.

He also praised Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, for what he called his inclusive leadership style and ability to connect with different political groups.
Galadima mentioned that the governor's political efforts have helped the APC gain more support in Adamawa State.
He linked the recent defections to President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, saying the arrival of political leaders and grassroots members to the APC could strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, this change offers a chance to work together better, improve governance and meet the needs of the people.
