The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the CEO of Goodben Global Travels and Tour Limited and one other person for an alleged N68.02 million visa scam involving 24 victims.

The arrests were made by operatives of the Enugu Zonal Directorate. This followed complaints that the suspects collected large sums of money from victims while pretending to secure work visas abroad.

The EFCC shared this information in a statement on its official X page on Monday.

According to the commission, the case started with a petition from James Ikechukwu. He claimed he was introduced to Goodben Global Travels and Tour Limited by Chukwujindu Nchekwube, the CEO, who acted as a visa consultant.

Ikechukwu alleged that between September 2024 and December 2025, he paid the company N57,620,000 to process work visas for 20 of his clients.

"But after collecting the money, Mrs Nchekwube refused to deliver the visas to my clients as promised; instead, she used the money for herself.

"After I kept asking her to deliver the work visas, she finally gave some visas to some of my clients, but we were shocked to find out that the visas and offer letters were fake," the petitioner said.

The EFCC stated that during the investigation, Nchekwube claimed she sent the money to another suspect, Rogers Eruku, also known as Bakary Rogers Yanni. She said he presented himself as someone who could get visas to any country.

She also claimed that the fake visas and offer letters were obtained through him.

In another complaint, a victim named Oranezi David Chinedu accused Eruku of taking N10,400,000 in May 2024. He said this was for work visas for him and three friends to Ireland and other countries.

He claimed that even after paying, Eruku gave them fake documents.

"I was very disappointed that Bakary Rogers Yanni took money for visa processing and then gave me and my friends fake documents," he said.

The EFCC said both suspects will face charges in court once investigations are complete.

"The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are finished," the commission stated.
