Thousands of supporters of President Bola Tinubu filled the streets of Kaduna State on Friday. They took part in a solidarity walk organized by the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council. This event was ahead of the campaign rally scheduled for Saturday.
The walk was led by Silas Agara, head of the APC Support Group Directorate. Our correspondent saw the procession start around the Savannah Bank area and move to the Kaduna State Government House. Governor Uba Sani welcomed the group there. After that, the participants made their way back to the APC Ciki da Waje State Secretariat.
Kaduna streets were filled with APC flags that showed support for Tinubu. Participants celebrated by drumming, dancing, and engaging in other joyful activities.
A PUNCH Online correspondent who arrived in Kaduna on Friday evening noticed that almost all hotels in the city center and the Barnawa area were fully booked. APC members and campaign vehicles were also seen moving around the city.
Governor Uba Sani welcomed the support groups at the state secretariat. He praised their efforts and highlighted Tinubu’s achievements. He expressed confidence that the President has support in Kaduna State.
Sani said, “We welcome the support group leaders and members to Kaduna State. Your presence shows your commitment to the political process and your willingness to engage citizens on the direction of our country.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to pursue policies and programs aimed at tackling Nigeria’s challenges and laying the foundation for sustainable development. We recognize the need for ongoing reforms and the importance of communicating their goals and impact to Nigerians.
“Kaduna State will support President Tinubu and vote massively for him in recognition of his achievements. We encourage our supporters to stay united, peaceful, and committed to connecting with the people as we prepare for Saturday’s rally.”
Agara thanked Sani for hosting the delegation. He also praised the support group leaders and members for their roles in the mobilization effort.

He stressed the importance of coordination, grassroots engagement, and teamwork among support groups leading up to the campaign rally.
The head of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Support Group Directorate said, “Today’s solidarity walk shows our commitment to organizing and coordinating support groups for the campaign. We have brought together members from various groups to show unity and strengthen our participation in the political process.
“We appreciate Governor Uba Sani for receiving us and allowing us to engage as we prepare for Saturday’s rally. This mobilization is part of our duty to ensure that support groups are organized, active, and ready to participate in the campaign.
“Our task goes beyond just carrying flags and joining processions. We must engage citizens, share the policies and programs of the administration, and make sure Nigerians understand the issues at hand. We are determined to work together, strengthen our structures, and keep our mobilization efforts strong ahead of the elections.”
Other notable figures at the event included former Niger State Deputy Governor Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso, former Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, Minister of State for Works Bello Muhammad Goronyo, North-West Coordinator of the Support Group Directorate Bafa Dan Agundi, and Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi.
On Saturday, Tinubu, along with 31 state governors and many APC leaders and members, was expected to attend the launch of the President’s re-election campaign. The ruling party aims to strengthen support in the North, which has 56.01 million of Nigeria’s 103.43 million registered voters.
The campaign kick-off is set to attract governors and other party leaders. The APC is counting on what its leaders call growing support among northern stakeholders and voters to help boost Tinubu’s chances for a second term in 2027.
