APC clears the air on alliance with Bauchi governor
The APC has refuted claims of an alliance with Governor Bala Mohammed, emphasizing the need for credible evidence. They urge the governor to join the party for better cooperation.

The Bauchi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied any political alliance with Governor Bala Mohammed. They said there is no agreement between the party and the governor outside the official APC platform.
In a statement from its state publicity secretary, Shehu Dauda, the party called the claims of an alliance baseless. They urged the public to be cautious and only believe reports backed by credible evidence.
The APC pointed out that Governor Mohammed continues to campaign with candidates from the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), including their presidential candidate. The party believes these actions go against any claims of a political deal with the ruling party at the national level.
While the APC acknowledged Governor Mohammed's recent praise for President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, economic reforms, and health sector efforts, they urged him to cut ties with the APM. They want him to officially join the APC.

The statement said, "If the governor genuinely wishes to align Bauchi State with the federal government’s development agenda, joining the APC would provide a clear and consistent political platform for cooperation, coordination, and the advancement of the interests of the people of Bauchi State."
The party mentioned that Bauchi State is important and should not stay outside Nigeria’s main political scene. They believe joining the APC would improve state-federal cooperation, bring in more development opportunities, and help citizens access federal programs.
Reiterating their support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the Bauchi APC urged state residents to stay calm, aware, and focused on good governance, unity, and development.
