The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 150 suspects and seized 100 unregistered motorcycles, firearms, suspected stolen goods, and illegal drugs during a raid on criminal hideouts in Igando and Idimu areas of the state.

This operation is part of the ongoing Operation KO S’AYE, which targeted criminal spots at Boolar, Okofilling Bus Stop, Igando, and other known trouble areas in the Idimu axis.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, shared this information in a statement on Monday.

Adebisi said the operation began at about 5:45 a.m. on Sunday after receiving reliable information.

He explained that the raid involved a joint team of officers from different units of the Lagos State Police Command. Their goal was to clear out hoodlums and other criminals disturbing the peace of the local communities.

"As part of the ongoing Operation KO S’AYE, the Lagos State Police Command has continued its aggressive raids on criminal hideouts across the state. We are determined to make sure that criminals have no safe places to operate," he said.

The police spokesperson listed the items recovered in the operation. They included 100 unregistered motorcycles, 54 mobile phones, one double-barrel gun, two single-barrel guns, one locally made double-barrel shotgun, two military camouflage uniforms, various charms, six generators believed to be stolen, substances thought to be Indian hemp, and other illegal drugs.

Adebisi added that all the suspects are now in police custody while investigations are ongoing to find out their roles in the crimes.

"Those who committed criminal offences will face charges in court," Adebisi stated.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, praised the officers for their professionalism. He also confirmed that the Command will keep up the anti-crime operations throughout the state.

According to the statement, the commissioner noted that Operation KO S’AYE will continue to prevent criminals from finding safe places and will improve the safety of residents.

He urged the public to support the police by providing timely and accurate information to help identify criminal hideouts, catch offenders, and boost public safety.

The command also called on residents to report emergencies and share useful information through its emergency lines.

Operation KO S’AYE is a security effort started by the Lagos State Police Command to break up criminal hideouts, fight cultism, armed robbery, drug-related crimes, and other violent offenses across the state.

The operation focuses on intelligence-led raids and organized deployments to areas known for crime. This is all part of efforts to improve safety and limit the operational bases of criminal groups.
