Fourteen people have been arrested in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for vandalism and illegal mining. The FCT Police Command made these arrests during a raid on illegal mining sites in the area.

Police spokesperson Josephine Adeh confirmed the arrests. She said the suspects were caught vandalizing public properties and taking part in illegal mining. Adeh added that the police are stepping up efforts to fight illegal mining, which is becoming a serious issue in the FCT.

Areh stated that the suspects had various tools for mining and vandalism. They will face charges in court once the police finish their investigations. The police have also asked residents to report any suspicious activities in their areas to help stop illegal mining and vandalism.

The FCT Police Command has promised to keep residents safe by addressing criminal activities in the territory.
