APC's Oyebamiji Arrives in Osogbo for Final Campaign Before Election

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, arrived in Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday. He came with a strong security presence and many party supporters ahead of the election on Saturday.

PREMIUM TIMES reported that Mr Oyebamiji was welcomed in the Aregbe area of Osogbo as the APC prepared for its last campaign rally in the state on Thursday. This rally is important for boosting support for the candidate just before the voting day.

Supporters lined the streets to greet him as he made his way into the capital. His arrival happened less than 48 hours before Osun residents go to the polls to choose their next governor. The new governor will lead the state for the next four years.

The APC has brought in its national leaders and governors for this final campaign. Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, and other party leaders are expected at the big rally in Osogbo.

This final campaign gives the APC and its candidate one last chance to connect with supporters and share their message with voters before the campaign officially ends. Mr Oyebamiji, who has served as the Osun Commissioner for Finance and is now the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, aims to defeat the current governor, Ademola Adeleke. Adeleke is also running for re-election under the Accord Party.

The election has become a close race between the major candidates. Both the APC and the incumbent’s team are ramping up their efforts to rally support across Osun State.
