Aradel Holdings Plc has bagged two top awards at the 2026 NOG Energy Awards. This reinforces its status as one of Nigeria’s leading integrated energy firms.
The awards took place during the closing gala dinner of the 25th NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition. Aradel received the Energy Excellence Award, while its Managing Director and CEO, Adegbite Falade, won the H.E. Dr. Alirio Parra Lifetime Achievement Award.
The NOG Energy Awards celebrate outstanding achievements, innovation, and leadership in Nigeria’s energy sector. They honour companies and individuals whose work shapes the future of the industry.
Olu Arowolo Verheijen, the Special Adviser to the President on Energy, presented the Energy Excellence Award. This award recognises companies in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector that hit major project milestones and show both commercial and technical excellence. Aradel won this award thanks to its operational success, smart investments, and value creation across the upstream, midstream, and downstream parts of the energy sector.
In another sign of the company’s strong leadership, Mr. Adegbite Falade received the H.E. Dr. Alirio Parra Lifetime Achievement Award. This was presented by Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, along with Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
The Lifetime Achievement Award is named after one of the co-founders of NOG Week. It recognises people who have shown great dedication, leadership, and lasting impact in their careers. It highlights those who have raised industry standards, inspired others, and pushed for long-term progress and innovation in Nigeria’s energy sector.
Mr. Falade’s award reflects a career marked by visionary leadership and a strong commitment to Nigeria’s energy industry. Under his guidance, Aradel has improved its asset portfolio, boosted production capacity, and pursued careful strategic investments. The company has kept its focus on safety, innovation, and responsible operations while delivering value to its shareholders.
Speaking about the awards, Mr. Adegbite Falade said:
“I am deeply honoured to receive the H.E. Dr Alirio Parra Lifetime Achievement Award and sincerely thank the organisers of NOG Energy Week for this recognition. I am equally proud that Aradel has been recognised with the Energy Excellence Award, which reflects the dedication, discipline, and commitment of our entire team. These awards inspire us to continue to deliver excellence, innovate bolder, and create sustainable value for our stakeholders while also contributing meaningfully to the continued growth of Nigeria’s energy industry.”
These two awards come at a time when Aradel Holdings Plc has shown strong corporate performance. In its 2025 audited financial results, the company reported a 192% increase in profit after tax compared to the previous year. This strong performance comes from increased production, better crude oil sales, operational efficiency, and successful strategic growth initiatives, including acquiring an additional 40% equity interest in ND Western Ltd.
Aradel’s first-quarter 2026 results also showed strong growth, with profit after tax up 252% year-on-year. Profit before tax also saw triple-digit growth. These results highlight the strength of the company’s integrated business model and its ability to provide consistent value in a changing environment.
These achievements show the strength of Aradel’s long-term plans and careful execution that drives its growth. As the company expands across Nigeria’s energy sector, the recognition at the 2026 NOG Energy Awards confirms the quality of its leadership and its ongoing commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and creating lasting value for stakeholders and the Nigerian economy.
