Bloombreed High School in Port Harcourt has shown it is a top school in Nigeria. The school has won two big awards on both national and international levels.

The school came first globally in the Cambridge IGCSE exams and also won a major national media and science contest.

Winning Big: Global and National Success

In the tough November 2025 Cambridge IGCSE exams, two outstanding students from Bloombreed, Desmond and Osime, achieved an amazing result. They got perfect scores of 100% in English as a Second Language. This earned them the ‘Top in the World’ award from the British Council, beating many students from around the globe.

But that was not the end of their success. Bloombreed students also won the British Council ‘Your World’ video competition. This contest asks students to use media, science, and creativity to tackle real community problems. For this project, Bloombreed students worked on ways to cut down food waste in their boarding house. Their creative video stood out against tough competition from other top schools in the country, making them National Champions.

A Commitment to Excellence

The school leaders said this great double win was not just luck; it came from high academic standards, a top-notch teaching staff, and a supportive environment that helps students achieve great results.

Reacting to their wins, the school management shared what drives their success:

“At Bloombreed, excellence is not an accident; it is a deliberate pursuit. We teach our students that participation is important, but our goal is always to set the pace. We do not just participate, industry leadership and global distinction are our targets.”

By creating a space where critical thinking, global readiness, and confidence are part of daily learning, Bloombreed makes sure its students don’t just enter the global stage, they lead it.

These wins are a source of pride for the whole nation, showing that when talented Nigerians work hard, they can achieve outstanding results.
