Bloombreed High School Shines with Two Major Wins in Cambridge Exams and National Video Contest

Bloombreed High School in Port Harcourt has shown it is a top school in Nigeria. The school has won two big awards on both national and international levels.

The school came first globally in the Cambridge IGCSE exams and also won a major national media and science contest.

Winning Big: Global and National Success

In the tough November 2025 Cambridge IGCSE exams, two outstanding students from Bloombreed, Desmond and Osime, achieved an amazing result. They got perfect scores of 100% in English as a Second Language. This earned them the ‘Top in the World’ award from the British Council, beating many students from around the globe.

But that was not the end of their success. Bloombreed students also won the British Council ‘Your World’ video competition. This contest asks students to use media, science, and creativity to tackle real community problems. For this project, Bloombreed students worked on ways to cut down food waste in their boarding house. Their creative video stood out against tough competition from other top schools in the country, making them National Champions.
