Former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, and his wife, Bisi, voted at 12:12 p.m. at Polling Unit 009, Akpata House, Isan, Ward 11, Oye Local Government Area.

After voting, Mr Fayemi talked to journalists. He said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has done well with the election process so far.

He mentioned that he and other notable people from the community have helped its growth.

The former governor also spoke about the burning of a police station in the area. He called it unfortunate. Still, he noted that the community has stayed peaceful and calm despite what happened.
