Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has sent his best wishes to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, as he turns 58. The Governor described Yilwatda as a focused and strategic leader. He believes Yilwatda's leadership is strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mr Abiodun said that since Yilwatda took over, he has shown the ability, maturity, and political skill needed to lead the ruling party during this crucial time in Nigeria’s political landscape.
In his congratulatory message, the Governor pointed out that the APC under Yilwatda’s guidance has been working to build internal unity and improve party structures. This prepares the APC for more electoral success across the country.
He praised Yilwatda as a reliable party administrator and a politician who cares about the grassroots. He believes Yilwatda's focus on unity and inclusiveness is key for the APC's ongoing growth.
Governor Abiodun stated that the challenge ahead for the APC is not just about winning elections. It is about forming a political organization that is strong, united, and responsive to the needs of Nigerians.
He emphasized that the party's good electoral history and increasing support nationwide provide a strong base for the APC to solidify its role as Nigeria's top political party.
“Your 58th birthday gives us another chance to celebrate your role in the growth and strengthening of our great party.
“Since you became the leader of our party, you have shown courage, humility, political maturity, and a clear grasp of the responsibility you carry.
“At this critical moment in our national political journey, the APC needs leaders who can unite our members, reinforce our structures, and motivate our people for greater electoral wins. Your leadership has been guiding us in that direction.
“As we prepare for 2027, I believe that a united and determined APC, under your leadership, will build on our achievements, widen our electoral reach, and renew Nigerians' trust in our progressive plans.”
The Governor also praised Mr Yilwatda for his dedication to strengthening the connection between party leaders and members at all levels. He stressed that a strong party is vital for the success and sustainability of democracy.
He is confident that the National Chairman will keep using his experience and political skills to create a stronger APC. This will help the party win more states, reach more people, and ensure victories for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
