Governor Lawal appoints Zakari as budget commissioner

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has named Yahaya Abdullahi Zakari as the new Commissioner for the Ministry of Budget and Planning.

This appointment came after Mr Zakari was sworn in on Tuesday. He is a professor of economics and a former Vice Chancellor of Zamfara State University. He is now part of the Zamfara State Executive Council.

Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, the Secretary to the State Government, shared this news. He also announced that Mr Abdulmalik Gajam has been moved to the position of Commissioner for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Nakwada mentioned that Governor Lawal has instructed all the affected Commissioners to start their duties in their new ministries right away.

The governor urged them to show renewed commitment, professionalism, and dedication. He wants them to help deliver government policies and programs as part of the administration’s Rescue Agenda.
