NUJ FCT expresses sadness over death of Tribune photographer

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, is deeply saddened by the death of Felix Onigbinde, a photojournalist with the Nigerian Tribune newspaper.

Mr Onigbinde fell into a coma last week and was taken to Garki General Hospital in Abuja before he passed away. He was a dedicated photojournalist who won awards for his work. His career showed how committed he was to gathering and sharing information for the good of society.

He started his journalism journey with Daily Trust newspaper before moving to the Nigerian Tribune, where he worked until he died.

As a photojournalist, Mr Onigbinde captured events and told stories through images. He helped the media inform the public about important issues.

The NUJ FCT Council said his death is heartbreaking. They noted that his passing has created a painful gap among friends, colleagues, and the wider journalism community.

Mr Onigbinde was from Ife Modakeke, in Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State. Those who knew him will remember his contributions to journalism and his service to the public.

The Council prayed for his soul to rest in peace and asked God to comfort his wife, children, extended family, colleagues, and all those grieving his loss.
