Governorship hopefuls of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Teslim Folarin, Bayo Adelabu, Akeem Agbaje, Hakeem Alao, and Rauf Olaniyan did not show up for the presentation of the state reconciliation committee's findings. This event took place in Ibadan, the state capital, on Wednesday, with the National Chairman of the party, Nentawe Yilwatda, in attendance.

Yilwatda spoke to reporters after the meeting. He said that reconciling members who are upset is an ongoing effort.

He noted, "The APC is a family. Whatever that is happening in the party is a family issue. It is normal for members of the same family to have challenges, but we are happy that the issues are being addressed as a family.

"Also, from the report that we gathered from the reconciliation committee and other stakeholders, the party is stable and we are good to go."

The national chairman emphasized that they are still working on reconciliation. All concerns from the unhappy party members will be taken care of.

Femi Lanlehin, who heads the Reconciliation Committee, also shared his views. He said, "The party is making headway in its efforts to reconcile the aggrieved members before the conduct of the 2027 elections."

He explained that the committee had discussions with all the upset aspirants and presented their findings to the National Chairman.

"We just came out of the primaries and some people are not happy with the outcome. They expressed their disappointment. They were aggrieved. We have presented our findings to the National Chairman of our party to act on it."

Lanlehin mentioned that APC leaders plan to meet with President Bola Tinubu about how to handle the issue as a family. He stressed, "We cannot afford to lose the 2027 election to any opposition parties in Oyo State."

He added, "I am assuring you that we will win all the elective positions at all levels in 2027 in Oyo State."

Besides sharing the findings of the committee, the meeting also included Sharafadeen Alli, the party's governorship candidate. The goal was to bring together the aggrieved aspirants and their supporters from all 33 Local Government Areas of the state.
