A leader of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Prince Oyewumi, believes that the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Alli, will win the 2027 election. He points to Alli's strong support among the people in the state.

In a message shared with PUNCH Online on Monday, Oyewumi, who once served on the board of the National Youth Service Corps, described Alli as “an experienced politician, astute public administrator and philanthropist with the political network and leadership experience required to win the governorship contest.”

He noted that Alli has built a solid following in all 33 local government areas of Oyo. Oyewumi added that Alli's experience would be valuable for Oyo if he becomes governor.

He said, “Senator Sarafadeen Alli has over the years built a formidable grassroots following across Oyo State. His experience as a public administrator and politician, coupled with his understanding of the people, places him in a strong position ahead of the 2027 election.”

Oyewumi, who is also a businessman and a prince from Ogbomoso, said Alli's work for the state shows he can lead effectively.

He urged APC members to “remain calm, united and committed to the party.” He is hopeful that the APC can beat its rivals in the 2027 governorship election.

Oyewumi praised Alli for his inclusive leadership style and sportsmanship. He said Alli has shown he can bring together different interests in the party. He also commended the Oyo State APC leadership for maintaining the party's values and encouraging unity among its members.

The APC leader thanked residents of the state for backing President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He mentioned that the Renewed Hope Agenda aims to tackle some of the economic issues Nigerians face.

He believes the policies from the Tinubu administration are meant to fix past mistakes and set the stage for lasting economic growth. He urged the people of Oyo State to keep supporting the Federal Government, expressing confidence that these policies will bring good results for Nigerians.
