Persons with disabilities in Cross River State joined supporters at the "One Million March" for Governor Bassey Edet Otu in Calabar.
Videos from Friday's event showed many persons with disabilities taking part. Some were using crutches and other mobility aids. Others were seen sitting on low supports as they joined the larger crowd.
The participants wore green caps and black T-shirts with Otu's image on them. Banners promoting the governor and the 2027 elections were also visible around the venue.
Their participation was part of the overall turnout at the march, aimed at showing support for the governor.
In addition, Big Brother Naija star Josephina Otabor, known as Phyna, also attended the event.
Phyna was seen moving through the crowd in Calabar, dressed in a brown and black leather outfit. She was surrounded by supporters in green caps, wearing APC-branded clothing and traditional outfits.
Banners highlighting the governor’s projects and the "Season of Sweetness" campaign were also present. The reality TV star spoke with journalists about why she decided to attend the march. Videos of her talking to the media have been shared widely on social media.
The march attracted supporters from various groups across the state. Participants showed their support for Otu and his administration as the 2027 political season approaches.
