The Adamawa State Police have arrested two men, Bashiru Ibrahim, 27, and Mustapha Labbo, 26. Both are from Jamtari. They were caught for transporting suspected Tramadol capsules worth over ₦5 million.
In a statement on Thursday, the police spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, said, “On 11th August 2026, the patrol team at the Area Command, Yola, was on routine duty. They intercepted the suspects at Dabala Village near Malabu while they were transporting the drugs from Jamtari to Garwa in Cameroon.”
The patrol team searched the suspects and found 150 packs. These packs contained a total of 150,000 Tramadol capsules. The street value of the drugs is estimated at Five Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦5,250,000).
The police took the suspects and the drugs into custody. They are now investigating to find out where the drugs came from and if there are others involved in this illegal transportation.
The police asked the public to keep giving them useful information that can help stop crime and keep communities safe.
“The Adamawa State Police Command, under CP Kabir Hassan, is committed to fighting the trafficking and abuse of illegal drugs in the state,” the statement said.
