Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned that bandits might try to block the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in July or August. He urged security agencies to stay alert.

Ayodele made this statement during a Sunday service at his church's headquarters. A video of his comments was later shared on his official TikTok account.

"Ibadan. Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. July/August, I do not know the precise time. Bandits will block the road. Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. They will block the road. So the security agencies should note this," he said.

The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is one of Nigeria’s busiest roads. It connects Lagos with many South-West states and parts of the northern region.

As of now, the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Government have not issued any official warning about the cleric’s prediction.

Recently, Ayodele criticized the Federal Government for its handling of the country's security problems. He accused the government of not doing enough to protect its citizens.

This latest warning comes after bandits kidnapped many pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. This has raised serious worries about the rise of kidnapping and banditry in the South-West.
