Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited has received investment grade national scale credit ratings from two African credit rating agencies, Agusto & Co. and Intelligence Africa. This boosts trust in the company's financial strength, performance, and long-term growth plans.
Agusto & Co., Nigeria’s top credit rating agency, gave Sunbeth an A2 Short-term rating and a Bbb long-term rating. This agency is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In a first-time assessment dated 9 July 2026, Intelligence Africa rated Sunbeth with a BBB+.NG national scale long-term issuer credit rating and an A2 Short-term rating, with a Stable Outlook. The agency believes the rating shows Sunbeth’s status as one of Nigeria’s top non-oil exporters. They support this with strong foreign currency earnings, a solid business model, good market position, strong profits, different funding sources, and enough credit facilities for liquidity.
These ratings come at an important time for Sunbeth. Since starting in 2017, the company has exported over 200,000 metric tonnes of cocoa and more than 60,000 metric tonnes of cashew. They are steadily growing in international agricultural markets while improving their operations.
As their trading volumes have increased, Sunbeth has worked on strengthening its financial structure. This helps them manage the working capital needs for large-scale commodity sourcing, inventory management, and international trade finance.
Nzubechukwu Anisiobi, the Chief Operating Officer of Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited, commented on the ratings. He said, “These ratings represent independent validation of the business we have deliberately built over the years. They reflect not only our financial discipline and operating performance, but also the confidence that respected rating agencies have in our strategy, governance, and long-term outlook.”
He also said, “As we continue to expand across the agricultural commodities value chain, we remain focused on building a resilient institution that creates lasting value for our partners, financiers, customers, and the broader Nigerian economy.”
Aside from core trading, Sunbeth is involved in the agricultural commodities value chain through related businesses. Sunbeth Shipping and Logistics Limited helps with logistics and shipping. Sunbeth Global Concepts Ghana Limited and Sunbeth Global Concepts Cameroon Limited focus on regional commodity sourcing. SFI Agri Commodities UK Limited supports trading with Europe and Asia. Sunbeth Food International Limited will handle cocoa and cashew processing facilities as part of the company’s plans to grow.
These related businesses work independently with their own goals and deal with Sunbeth on business terms. The ratings are based only on the credit profile of Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited.
The ratings give more confidence to financial institutions, trading partners, and other stakeholders. This comes as Sunbeth continues to grow its operations, expand market access, and aim for sustainable growth in regional and global markets.
