Suspected cultists kill man and post video online
Taiwo Saheed was reportedly killed by suspected cultists in Ogun State. A video of the incident is spreading online, showing the brutal attack.

A man named Taiwo Saheed was reportedly killed by suspected cultists in the Atan area of Ogun State. Footage of the murder is now spreading on social media.
PUNCH Metro learned from witnesses and a video of the incident that the killing happened on Thursday. It is believed that members of the banned Eiye Confraternity carried out the act as revenge for something.
The shocking video shows Saheed lying in a pool of blood. One of the attackers hit him multiple times with what looked like a machete before cutting off his head.
Other cult members were seen cheering and laughing as the attack went on.
The Ogun State Police Command's spokesperson, Babaseyi Oluseyi, confirmed the incident in response to our inquiry on Monday. He said they are working hard to catch those involved.
He stated, “The Ogun State Police Command is intensifying investigations into the murder of Taiwo Saheed in Igbo Olomi, Atan-Ota, on 15 October 2026.

“Proactive efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, unravel the circumstances of the incident, and ensure justice is served.”
Atan has seen cases of cult violence in Ogun State before. In April, police arrested four suspected cultists for assault, armed robbery, illegal possession of a gun, and stealing an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The suspects were Samson John, 25; Olufowora Michael, 28; Odeh Samuel Ejeh, 25; and Olajide Jeremiah, 28.
They were arrested after a report was made at a police station around 11.30pm on April 16, 2026.
