President Bola Tinubu has given national honours to more Nigerians who fought against military rule.

In a live broadcast on Friday for this year’s Democracy Day, the President revealed some of those to be honoured.

Among those receiving honours are well-known journalists like Sam Omatseye, Lade Bonuola, Ike Okonta, and Muyiwa Adekeye. Also honoured are retired military officers Ishola Williama and MA Garba, both of whom are retired major generals.

Mr Tinubu said, “The honours list will be released in the next few days.”

Last year, the Nigerian leader also recognised some Nigerians on Democracy Day.
