President Bola Tinubu has called on young Nigerians worried about the country's situation not to leave. He made this statement during a televised speech on Friday to celebrate this year’s Democracy Day.
“To our young people: Nigeria is your home and your future. Build here, code here, work here, and vote here. Every great nation was built by those who stayed to solve problems, not by those who abandoned ship,” the President said.
Every year, thousands of young Nigerian professionals leave the country in search of better opportunities. This trend is known as Japa.
