Uba Sani names new aides and board leaders

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has made new appointments for aides, board chairmen, and members of governing councils. This is part of his plan to improve governance, boost service delivery, and support his administration’s development goals.

The appointments were shared in a statement on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa. He said the aim is to bring fresh energy into public service and to make government institutions work better.

Some of the new appointees include Hon Audu Maikori, who is now the Chief Strategic Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs. Umar Uba Maicitta takes on the role of Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations. Aminu Mohammed Gusau has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications.

For the Kaduna State University (KASU) Governing Council, Dr Ibrahim Umar will serve as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman. Other members include Dr Ibrahim Hamidu for Zone One, Adamu Aliyu Shika for Zone Two, Mrs Ladi Barnabas Bala Bantex for Zone Three, and Adamu Attah representing the organised private sector.

Governor Sani also named Lawal Umar Meyere as Chairman of the Kaduna Mining Development Company Board. The other members are Addau Ahmed for Zone One, Kabiru Tsoho Yakawada for Zone Two, and Yohana Allah Magani Christopher for Zone Three.

At the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, Mr Tanko Kokwain will be the Board Chairman. He will work with Thomas Samuel Amale for Zone One, Esther Ayuba Anthony for Zone Two, and Mustapha Ahmed for Zone Three as board members.

The governor also formed a four-member board for the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency. David Umar Gurara is the Chairman, with Bello Nuhu Yakubu, Hassan Adamu Shekarau, and Mrs Hannatu Sambo serving as members from Zones One, Two, and Three, respectively.

Additionally, Yakubu El Saad Lere has been appointed as Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Board. The other members are Zubairu Balarabe Saminu, Binta Saidu, and Habila Abel Adamu.

Mr Musa stated that these appointments show the governor’s commitment to putting experienced and skilled people in key positions to help meet the state’s development goals.

“The new appointees are seasoned professionals and resourceful leaders, carefully selected based on their proven track records, competence and unwavering dedication to the socio-economic development of Kaduna State,” the statement said.

Governor Sani congratulated all the appointees and urged them to see their roles as a call to serve.

He asked them to start work right away, carry out their duties with honesty, transparency, and integrity, and make sure they deliver democratic benefits to the people of Kaduna State.
