Voting Kicks Off Early in Ekiti State for Governorship Election

Voting started early in different local government areas of Ekiti State for the governorship election happening today.

Reports showed that voters and election materials got to many polling units early in the state.

Voting began at various polling units from 8:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.

For example, at Ward 9 Hummy Paul International Ventures in Ado-Ekiti LGA, accreditation and voting started at 8:44 a.m. after the presiding officer spoke to the voters at the polling unit.

Also, at Polling Unit 003, which is the polling unit of the current governor, Biodun Oyebanji, in Ekiti West LGA, voting kicked off at exactly 8:34 a.m.

Mr Oyebanji is the APC candidate in this election.

At Polling Unit 015, Registration Area 2, in Ado Ekiti Local Government Area, accreditation and voting began around 8:30 a.m.
