2027 Election: Barau Confident of Tinubu's Win
Senator Jibrin Barau believes President Tinubu will win the 2027 election, citing political analysts and party unity in Kano as key factors.

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, believes that President Bola Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election. He based this on the views of political analysts and the current political climate in the country.
Barau spoke on Sunday during the launch of campaign committees for Dawakin Tofa, Tofa, and Rimin Gado Local Government Areas in Kano State. He called on All Progressives Congress (APC) members to come together and work towards winning for all the party’s candidates in the upcoming general elections.
In a statement from his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Barau said the groundwork laid by Tinubu in his first term will pay off in his second term. He stated, “Based on the assessments of political analysts and the current state of Nigerian politics, all indications suggest that, by Allah’s grace, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the presidential election.”
Barau praised party leaders, elected officials, local government chairmen, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and other supporters for their backing of the APC. He expressed confidence that the party’s unity and cooperation in Kano would remain strong.
He pointed out that Kano is one of Nigeria’s largest states and has the second highest number of registered voters after Lagos. He said the state deserves more attention and development support from the Federal Government.

The Deputy Senate President noted that Yusuf's switch from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the APC was a smart move that has raised Kano’s political standing and its chances of attracting development.
Barau mentioned that the alignment of the governor, local government chairmen, councillors, state lawmakers, and members of the National Assembly under the APC will help turn the party's political strength into real benefits for the people.
He said the upcoming elections will allow elected representatives to do more for their constituencies. He explained that the campaign committees will include party leaders, executive members, former and current lawmakers, councillors, local government chairmen, new members, and respected elders.
He urged the committee members to rally voters and campaign hard for the party as the elections approach. He said, “What is required of you is to play your part actively in securing victory. Mobilise, campaign and ensure that all APC candidates emerge victoriously from top to bottom. May Allah grant us success and enable us to achieve our goals.”
