Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has asked election officials to use the front camera on the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) if the other camera fails.

Davido shared this advice in a tweet on his X account on Saturday while voting was happening in the Osun governorship election.

“If your BVAS camera is not working, please [tell the officials to] use the front camera. It is very active and fast!” he said.

His comment came as reports of technical issues with BVAS surfaced during the election.

BVAS is the system used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for voter accreditation. It checks fingerprints and faces, and it has other important functions.

Recently, Davido has been vocal about the Osun governorship election. He urged both local and foreign groups to keep a close eye on how the election is conducted.
