Davido joins Osun campaign rally, dances with Governor Adeleke

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, joined his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday for a roadshow and campaign rally. This event comes as the state gears up for the governorship election on August 15.

The rally is happening at a time when political activity is on the rise, with Governor Adeleke aiming for a second term in office.

A video going around on social media shows Davido and the governor’s son, Sina Adeleke, also called Shina Rambo. They moved through a large crowd and climbed over railings to get on stage with the governor.

Davido wore a traditional jalabiya and had some trouble getting over the barricade. Supporters on the stage helped him make it over. Shina Rambo also needed assistance before they both joined the governor on the stage.

Once on stage, Governor Adeleke was dancing and singing along to Davido’s hit song “Feel,” from the singer’s Grammy-nominated album, Timeless. Davido hugged his uncle when he reached the stage.

The two entertained the crowd with a lively dance, which got loud cheers from supporters. This moment showed their strong bond and quickly became a highlight of the rally, with many praising their energy.

The roadshow took place just days after Davido urged for a peaceful and fair governorship election. He asked voters to reject violence and intimidation, encouraging residents to exercise their rights peacefully.

Governor Adeleke is running for a second term under the Accord Party. He will compete against the All Progressives Congress candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, known as AMBO, in the August 15 election. Campaigns are heating up in the state as parties work hard to win over voters before the polls.
